RICHARD MALIK, ND

Dr. Malik has been in private practice since 2005 after earning a doctorate degree in naturopathic medicine (ND) from the four-year accredited program at Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. Bastyr University is a leading institution for training natural and alternative healthcare professionals. For over three years, while seeing patients at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health, he applied concepts of holistic and conventional medicine to help patients improve their quality of life. During his training, Dr. Malik focused on family medicine, women’s care, pediatrics, attention deficit disorder (ADD/ADHD), and environmental medicine.

Passionate

He is passionate about health: his own, his patients’, and the people he loves. Dr. Malik tries to be an example of healthy living. He exercises several times a week. His favorite forms of exercise are walking, hiking, running, and rowing. He consumes a whole foods diet that emphasizes vegetables, fruits, legumes, healthy fish, and lean sources of protein. Dr. Malik believes that dietary supplementation can be an important part of achieving or maintaining optimal health, but that diet, exercise and doing the things we love come first.

Strong Belief

Dr. Malik strongly believes that health is not only a physical state, but also a mental and spiritual state. He works to maintain open communication with the people in his life and to cultivate his spirituality. Truthfully offering all of his knowledge and wisdom with humility, an open heart and an open mind are his spiritual and professional goals.
